Fridays are absolutely crazy at our house! Sophie has been in a Friday dance class for the past couple of years and when they moved her into a higher level class last month we also gave up Fridays! We were thrilled. Who wants to come home from school on Friday and have to be somewhere? Not my kids that is for sure! They walk in the door, unpack their backpacks, make sure they are ready to walk out the door Monday morning and then they hang them up and we are ready to just play! Well school has started, and with that comes soccer, which we love by the way, but we are at the mercy of the coaches and when they choose to hold practice. 3 kids, 3 practices on Friday at 3 different parks. HELLO! Don't these people believe in the weekend and what about date night. So we have a practice from 4-5, the next from 4:30-5:45,
and last 6-7:30. What is up with that? It is a good thing they all have friends on their team and love to be active and play soccer. I think it is exhausting and feel blessed that Stan likes to be so involved and loves the game so much because he is helping coach 2 of the 3 teams which means I am not doing ALL of the running around! What a good Daddy he is!
Well good thing for us it was a friend of ours birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY THANN! Carrie, his wife (yes, we have friends that are named Carrie and Thann, funny, huh!), decided to invite a bunch of families to his favorite restauraunt for dinner. So we headed to WAHOOS! It was delicious and we had great company and the kids had a blast. I don't think the resauraunt enjoyed the evening as well as we did. We took over the whole back of the place and the entire patio. We had so much fun we decided that we needed to do this more often on Friday nights, but at a park, a much more forgiving atmosphere for all of the kids. Of course, Melinda provided cupcakes and they were yummo(she seriously rivals Martha Stewart)! It was a good way to end our crazy hectic day and start our weekend. There is nothing like good friends! I didn't take any pictures of the adults but got a lot of the kids, so here you go...........
