Book of Mormon Extravaganza

I read the Book of Mormon in 24 hours with these beautiful young women last month!
It was such an amazing experience. We started on a Friday night at 5:00pm and finished Moroni chapter 10 at 5:00 pm on Saturday. We did have to skip a few chapters during the night to get ourselves back on track. Luckily we each had these great book marks so we could keep track of what we read so those we skipped we could make up at home on our own.

Vanessa, Kaiten, Emily, Jessica, Calli, Claire, Kimi, Meredith, Emily, Riley, and NIna

We started off by going around the room and reading a column at a time. It went amazingly well. Those girls had their books in hand and followed along. They were each provided with a scripture marker and were asked to underline everytime that Christ was mentioned in the Book of Mormon. That kept them quit busy. Did you know that Christ is mentioned in over 50 percent of the verses in the Book of Mormon, that is way more than even the Bible.  Also they drew a red heart over the word, "heart". That their hearts may be opened and they would know of the truthfulness.

We had a great turn out! We have 40 young women in our ward. Everyone was there at one point or another except for three (we missed you girls) plus we had 4 friends come. It was such a fun night.

Just look at this room full of girls trying to do what is right and reading from the scriptures. They inspire me!
We took breaks, very well deserved and much needed breaks.
We had an amazing dinner provided by the George family.
Around 1:00am we had ice cream sundaes.
A yummy breakfast of smoothies and bagels and a delish luch of salads and pizza.  Okay, I can not even begin to tell you about all of the sancks in between.
